 Mario J. Suarez is a partner in Thompson Hine LLP’s Real Estate practice group, where he handles complex domestic and international commercial real estate transactions. Mario specializes in acquisition and disposition of commercial buildings and building portfolios, leasing, joint ventures, workouts and restructurings, construction and design relationships, sale-leaseback and ground lease development and financings, zoning, and land-use and landmark designation matters. He represents equity investors as well as lenders and borrowers with respect to construction and permanent loans and structured financings.
Mario was born in Cuba and emigrated to the U.S. as a child. He is a graduate of City University of New York and Fordham University School of Law. Mario has served on the boards of the New York City Economic Development Corporation, The Broadway Association, Inc., United Neighborhood Houses of New York, Inc. and The New York Law Institute.
